A Busy Friday for C33

Seven calls in one day.

On Friday, October 10, the crew of Christophorus 33 had a busy day: The crew of the ÖAMTC Air Rescue intensive care transport helicopter was dispatched to a total of seven missions, including three primary missions.

One of these missions took the team, together with Christophorus 2, to the scene of a serious traffic accident in the Tulln area: Although C33 was originally en route to an intensive care transport, its mission was reassigned during the flight due to its immediate proximity to the accident site.

The emergency medical helicopter arrived on the scene just a few minutes after the alarm was sounded and was able to provide initial care to the patient. In close coordination with the C2 crew, it was decided that they would transport the patient to the hospital so that the intensive care transport by C33 could continue as scheduled.

An example of the teams’ excellent cooperation and flexibility—and of how quickly and efficiently the ÖAMTC Air Rescue responds to emergencies.
